Lausitzring opened on former mining land on 20 August 2000 as a major racing and testing complex. Following DEKRA’s takeover in 2017, vehicle development gained importance alongside public events. Today the site combines racing, driving experiences and screened-off engineering work. The configurable Grand Prix circuit sits inside the tri-oval; the separate high-speed test oval is a different track element. No single lap length therefore represents every event. Car and motorcycle training depends on the organiser, while a race taxi is a passenger experience. Follow the visitor information for the specific booking rather than assuming that general test-facility hire allows public access.

Enquire about club/trackday participation
By enquiry
The operator describes GP trackdays and its Club Days format for car clubs. The published edition lists the past date of 23 August 2026. Confirm a new date, club participation, own-car use and full eligibility rules. This is not unrestricted tourist driving or automatic access to the tri-oval.
Motorcycle circuit training subject to organiser confirmation
By enquiry
The operator’s 2026 programme confirms motorcycle training with different organisers. This seasonal evidence does not establish a place available today or a bookable future session. Confirm a new date, provider, motorcycle, noise and experience requirements first. No daily open riding or general beginner eligibility is established.
Passenger ride, not self-drive. The operator refers vehicle selection and booking to Racepool99. Normally age 18 or over; younger participants are described only with a parent or guardian, subject to provider confirmation. Good physical and mental condition and no alcohol/drugs. Briefing and helmet/balaclava/gloves are described; confirm the date and precise GP variant.
Spectating is limited to announced public events under the relevant organiser’s ticket and access rules. A calendar entry or visitor address does not mean daily unrestricted touring of the site. Paddock, grandstand and camping access depends on the event.
