2. Website requests and hosting
When you load a page, your browser transmits technical data including your IP address, requested URL and query parameters, time and browser information. We process these data to deliver pages, handle errors and operate the website securely. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in a secure and available website. Recipient category: a hosting service provider acting on our instructions in Germany.
A data-processing agreement is in place for hosting. Customer access logs and statistics derived from them are disabled in the hosting account. We do not use them to create visitor histories or access statistics. Connection data are processed to deliver the requested content. Separate infrastructure security processing serves incident and abuse prevention; necessary data are processed for that purpose until it is resolved. We do not combine these data with advertising profiles.
3. Search, maps and local functions
Filtering runs in your browser. Selected filters appear in the URL and can remain in browser history or be sent with a later page request. Do not enter confidential or personal information there. Map outlines, source pins, fonts and graphics load from our own website; no external map platform is embedded. This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies and does not use local storage.
“Suggest a venue” and correction functions generate a JSON file on your device at your request. The input remains in the browser during editing and is not sent to us. You control the downloaded file and its deletion.
4. Contact by email
If you send us an email yourself, we process your sender address, message and voluntary information to respond. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for handling enquiries, or Article 6(1)(b) for contract-related enquiries. Retention follows the duration of handling; information is then deleted unless legal retention obligations or necessary records require otherwise. Staff handling the enquiry and technical email providers receive the data necessary for this purpose.
5. Shop links and advertising
AMZ Racing Shop links are our advertising. Fixed UTM parameters describe source, language and placement and contain no visitor identifier. The atlas currently does not count clicks or load analytics, AdSense, Amazon or social-media scripts. Your browser connects to an external provider only when you open its link. Visits to the shop are covered by its own privacy notice. Future advertising or analytics requires separate configuration and any necessary consent before activation.
6. Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). Any consent can be withdrawn for the future. Contact us using the details above. You may also complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, particularly the authority for Baden-Württemberg.
