Jyllandsringen was established in 1966 on a former gravel pit. FDM bought the venue in 1974; combining two circuit sections in 2003 created the 2,300-metre race course. Individual sections also serve driver education and should not automatically be treated as freely accessible race circuits. FDM works with Trackdayklubben for own-car trackdays. These are instructed activities for type-approved cars, explicitly separate from racing, with a thorough introduction for newcomers. Spectator meetings, road-safety instruction and trackdays each have their own dates, access arrangements and eligibility rules. None establishes a general daily circuit opening.
